A bold & captivating kitchen

Homes should be extensions of our own personalities, therefore styling a space in colours you feel most comfortable wearing or being around is a great starting point. When it comes to being bold and expressive, @our_loving_plant_home has mastered this approach! With a classic pale pink and duck egg blue colour scheme, they have added a funky twist to the space with monochrome floor tiles and the floral print seen in the Azalea Retro Roller Blind. The roller blind works at pulling all the colours of the kitchen together, creating a well-rounded and thoroughly thought-out design scheme.

Kitchens host a range of activities, from making and eating food, to having cuppas and a gossip with friends and getting your children’s homework complete. As a result, ensuring your kitchen feels dynamic and versatile is very important and luckily, implementing the right colours is a great way to achieve this. For more on how colours can have an impact on your space and mood, check out our Psychology of Colour: Positive Colours blog. Strong use of pattern is another way to boost the energy and feel-good atmosphere within a space. By mastering colour and pattern @our_loving_plant_home has created a superb kitchen which we adore. Christmas is coming

Preparing for the festive period, this fabulous display by @ourcosyhomeatno.62 has got us excited for Christmas!

What we particularly love about this image is the range of textures on display. From the velvet look coming through in the velvet Roman blind, down to the shiny, glitter effect of the Christmas baubles there is a beautiful three dimensionality to this space.

The @ourcosyhomeatno.62 has kept the colour scheme of this space simplistic yet elegant by working in a soft colour palette of creams and pale greys. These shades are ideal for keeping the room feeling spacious and bright. If colour is something that feels confusing or intimidating, sticking to a soft palette and using a variety of textures works just as effectively to bring depth and dimension to the space. Using the likes of velvets and silks are great options as the reflective finishes bring a shimmer to the room while adding a touch of luxury to the space. Head over to @ourcosyhomeatno.62’s Instagram page to see how to master a delicate colour scheme in the most elegant of ways!

Festivity at its finest

Our final social snapshot from November comes from @paulstephensonjewellery. Unleashing the ultimate cosy Christmas look, this image perfectly demonstrates how a chic grey space can be transformed into a winter wonderland!

What we adore about this space is the cosy aesthetic created through the dark grey and white colour scheme, complemented by the warming shades coming from the hardwood flooring. The use of shutters also adds a warming sensation to the space as the slats have been positioned in a way to obscure the views onto the icy outdoors, enhancing the cosy feeling of the home!

Transforming the space into an idyllic Christmas vista is the shimmering festive decorations. With pops of silver and natural greens, this space has been transformed to create the ultimate festive cosy corner! The final touch of a festive fur throw over the armchair is the
