As we approach the final month of 2024, and with Christmas on the horizon, it’s time to take a glance back at the social images that caught our attention in November. While the winds blow and the temperature drops, now is the perfect time to get comfy and find some real world interior design inspiration. In today’s blog we look at a trio of exciting rooms which we’ve seen this month and explore the steps the decorators have taken to maximise their home’s appeal. We hope you enjoy it!

Our favourite social posts from November

We’ve been blown away by the diversity of styles shared with us on Instagram in the past four weeks, and the talent of our amazing customers. From cosy winter-ready bedrooms to whimsy designs and even several rooms featuring beloved pets, it’s been a fantastic month. These are three of our favourites from the month!

The perfect play space

Our first inspiring post comes from @ourspringreno. This room is a colourful, fun and inspiring playspace that any little one would be lucky to have access to! Featuring a well considered mixture of soft, deep and  bold colours, it’s a remarkably eyecatching room.

The rich pinky brown colour of the ceiling also covers the top part of the wall and is a beautiful tone that also plays with the dimensionality of the room, making it feel cosier and more comfortable. The walls also feature a very warming shade of cream which adds a point of contrast to the pink while still contributing to the overall warming feel of the room.

The use of more vibrant elements comes via the toys and bunting which keep the room feeling fun and youthful, which is the core purpose of the decor. Mixing in natural wooden shades such as the picture frames and storage unit has a similar effect. Completing the look are velvety Roman blinds which not only look chic, but will also help to keep the room warmer during the colder months.  Finally, the child sized sofa is also very cute!

A divine dining room

Our second space offers a very different aesthetic to the first. This is a supremely chic and stylish dining room by @unluckyforsome_ which features a minimalist approach to the details and has been carefully curated to be both relaxing and welcoming.

The core of the room’s aesthetic are the neutral colours at the windows and walls. The walls themselves are painted in a beautiful off white that’s cosy yet still bright. Combined with the natural coloured real wood floor, the space has a subtle natural vibe that’s ideal for entertaining family and friends.

The classic white door, window frames, coving and Venetian blinds elevate the room’s sophistication reinforcing the elegance of the room. Completing the beauty of the room is the selective use of black details. Black is well known as a very elegant and charming colour to use in interior design. The slim profile picture frames, the artistic light fitting and the black bordered dining table and chairs gently pull the space together into one harmonious whole.

A beautiful bedroom

Last, but by no means least, is this extremely characterful bedroom by @mums_at_it_again. Featuring a bold approach to colour and with perfect patterns, this is a fantastic bed room.

What struck us first about this bedroom was the reversal of how colours are usually used in a room. In this bedroom, the walls are a comfortable, sumptuous shade of off white, but the remarkable detail is the rich orange paint used to paint the ceiling. This different approach to decoration is a great way to make a space unique and brimming with personality.

Another stand out feature is the window frame. In many cases, a window frame will be bright white but in this room it’s a stylish black shade. Again, this different way of thinking helps to make a space feel special without feeling at all gimmicky.

Completing the joyous decor in this bedroom is the fashionable Roman blind at the window. Made using the Segments Onyx fabric by iLiv, this blind has a retro inspired pattern that will remain stylish for years to come. What’s more, it’s been upgraded with a free blackout lining meaning better sleep for the young one who sleeps there.
