As quickly as it arrived, September has departed, and October is upon us. While Halloween and bonfire night might be on the horizon, we need to pause and reflect on just how great a month September was! In the past four weeks we’ve seen yet more superbly stylish snapshots shared with us on social media – these are three of our favourites from a competitive field!

Our favourite social posts from September

In September we’ve been struck by the incredible use of colour and pattern to create some truly unique and inspiring interiors. With shades of green, pops of pink and striking blues, this has been an incredible month brimming with stylish inspiration.

A vibrant bathroom from hollyscottinteriordesign

A bountiful bathroom

Bathrooms are integral parts of any home, but they can often be overlooked when it comes to styling. This, however, isn’t an accusation one can make about this remarkable bathroom from @hollyscottinteriordesign

Let’s start with the walls. This suave bathroom features elegant, dynamic, and colourful wallpaper that not only covers the walls, but the ceiling also. This extra use of the patterns makes the whole effect more cosy, inviting, and relaxing. The inclusion of greens, and pinks in a bath helps to nurture a feeling of peace and tranquillity, two ideals for rooms where we decompress after a long day. Gently contrasting with these delightful colours is the soft grey of water fixtures but less subtle is the beautiful pink Roman blind.

This blind is in a powerful, noble shade of pink and while a focal centre point, also synergises with the softer pinks found on the walls and ceiling. In its entirety, this room is exciting, dynamic and ever so stylish – it’s easily a 10/10 from us!

A fashionable green living room from lifeatcapri.

Glorious use of green

For a long time, we’ve advocated for the use of green in interior design and this living room from @lifeatcapri is a great example of why!

Bold green walls are a great way of setting the scene for a powerful decor. In this room, visitors will enjoy the energy of the space while still being able to relax. By picking green as the dominant colour, @lifeatcapri has been able to introduce a selection of different shades. Take the lovely wooden floor as an example. The synergy between the green and wooden tones creates a natural finish that both thrills and delights!

The same goes for the pale fireplace which is in a lovely off-white colour. Adding more colourful details however is the blue chair and the rug. Blue and green work together remarkably well, contrasting with one another in a way that’s eye catching yet stylish.

To complete the room’s look is a beautiful patterned Roman blind. This bohemian style print adds some smaller details into the mix while adding a warming effect.

A bright, colourful kitchen from lillyswatercolours

Creative use of colour

Kitchens are the heart and soul of any home. They are places where we relax, enjoy time with family and friends, and of course eat.

As a result, you can often enjoy fantastic results from a high energy kitchen as demonstrated by this remarkable space from @lillyswatercolours. This space has an inherent freshness to it that elevates it into the realms of ultra stylish.

The first detail we spotted was the gorgeous blue of the cabinets and drawers, and how they glow next to the chic whites of the walls, tiles and the lovely Venetian blind that lets the light flood in! The beautiful wooden countertops partnered with the golden tap, floral handles and patterned floor tiles adds a warm finish to the space making it the perfect environment for relaxing and hosting guests alike.

Finally, while only temporary, the stunning flowers show how small changes and details can unify a space making it a sublime expression of personality and creativity.
