March has left us and April has arrived, but we would be remiss to not showcase some of the greatest images shared with us on Instagram during the third month of 2023! In March, we’ve seen some truly superb use of colour, pattern and spacing and today, we’ll be looking at what makes our top three images so great!

Our favourite social posts from March

March has been exciting and while we’ve seen many different products, we noticed that many have made fantastic use of stylish Roman blinds made here in Yorkshire by Blinds Direct! Let’s check them out…

A quaint kid’s space

The first of our images comes from thecopperbeechhouse and we think it’s beyond brilliant.

Firstly, this space, which is a child’s bedroom, features amazing use of accessories and style points from an educational map wall, through to excellent colour placement. The blue grey house-shaped frame built around the bed combined with the different grey shades found in the chair, carpet and walls interspersed with pops of yellow creates a space that’s youthful, calming and energising.

Yellow is an excellent spot colour for any space, but particularly children’s rooms. Yellow manifests a feeling of fun, hope, and happiness. This sophisticated colour lifts us up when we are down, and helps to inspire us in our search for new ideas. While different yellow shades appear in the bedding, ornaments and details, one of the most eye-catching elements of this space is the yellow and white striped Roman blind

The alternating slim stripes of golden yellow and white create a soft yet elegant point of interest in the space which doesn’t detract from any other element. By taking time to consider your options and colour palette, you too can create a marvellous space for your little ones to enjoy!

Friendly farmhouse style

We adore this image by @countrylifemystyle! The chic combination of fashionable farmhouse with a twist of French grandeur with the light fitting has been beautifully cultivated here.

The first thing to note about this fashionable space is its sublime use of colour. The calming natural shades used which act as a foundation for this room’s style introduces a level of harmony that radiates throughout the space. From the warming neutrals on the wall to the muted gold-shade light fitting, the dominant colour palette is subtle yet cosy.

This subtlety has allowed countrylifemystyle to then make selective use of bolder shades. Whether it’s the soft, natural greens in the leafy plants by the windows, or the extremely stylish striped Roman blind in the window’s recesses, this room has an energy to it and great attention to detail.

Roman blinds are an excellent option for stylish homes that have a minimalist edge to them. The movement of the blind, its thickness and the rigid shape provide an amazing canvas for adding pattern and colour to the room, and we think this is a fabulous example of how to use these striking blinds!

Magnificent Maximalism

From minimalism to the opposite end of the spectrum, this maximalist space from lifeatcapri really inspired us and excited our imaginations.

This image is a celebration of colour and makes exceptional use of contrasting shades to make a whole that’s a delight to behold. Pink and green has been well known for a very long time for its brilliance, sophistication and energising effect. With several green shades found on the floor, bottom half of the walls and the plant providing depth and a calming foundation, lifeatcapri has then been able to elevate the style with a fantastic peachy pink for the doors and higher parts of the walls.

Stood above all this excellence is a remarkable geometric patterned Roman blind. Introducing another shade of green that ties the others together, with spots of yellow in the pattern which harmonise with the cushions and other supporting details.
